Facilitate Emergency Evacuation of Wahid & Family From Gaza for Vital Medical Treatment

Facilitate Emergency Evacuation of Wahid & Family From Gaza for Vital Medical Treatment
The Issue
Wahid is not just a statistic. He is a boy
caught in the crossfire of the horrendous Gaza Strip conflict, loving brother to my friend, and has tragically lost an eye, an arm, and a leg. It's heartbreaking to know that there are many more out there like Wahid, innocent people begging for us to not leave them behind in their hour of need.
A report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs estimated that over 13,000 Palestinians were injured during the war in 2014 (Source: UNOCHA). Unfortunately, Wahid is part of this statistic, and he represents the urgent need for timely medical assistance.
Providing medical aid should be unequivocally above political rifts. An individual's right to adequate medical treatment is not only stated in Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but it is also paramount to maintaining human dignity in periods of conflict.
Let's unite in giving Wahid, his family, and others affected by the conflict, the chance at a healthier future. In doing so, we stand up not just for their human rights, but for the universally shared values of empathy, compassion, and justice.
Every signee adds the strong voice needed to implore involved authorities to facilitate this crucial evacuation swiftly and safely. See Wahid not as one child from Gaza, but as the embodiment of humanity needing your help. Please, sign this petition today.
