Facebook: Stop the pay to play requirement for Facebook pages to reach their fans and allow users to see all the content from pages they like in their newsfeeds.

The Issue

The “pay to play” advertising and post boost requirements for pages to achieve reach and effectiveness on the Facebook platform is counterproductive to social networking, social media marketing and all other facets of the industry in general.

Should there be costs associated with Facebook pages? Maybe, but it needs to be implemented the right way, that doesn’t negatively effect users and brands alike. How? An example plan, that has a nominal monthly fee for pages, based on the number of likes a page has. Simple, clean and huge revenue opportunity for Facebook that leaves a once effective and loved platform in tact.
