Animals are not objects or toys for people to use, torture, or experiment on for entertainment.  They are individuals worthy of existing unharmed.  The allowance of Facebook users' animal abuse and torture for entertainment purposes is vastly accepted, condoned, and perpetuated because Facebook does not presently find this sociopathic behavior to be unacceptable.  Not only does the media containing such events grow because of this  promotion; but so do the acts themselves.  Facebook must end its huge contribution to animal abuse, and instead become a protector of the lives of innocent animals by punishing their exploitation on its site.
