We, Northern Hyderabad Metro Rail Sadhana Samithi (NHMRSS), the concerned citizens of Medchal, Shamirpet, Gandimaisamma and Northern Hyderabad, hereby express our strong demand for the inclusion and implementation of Metro Rail in this region in Phase 2 expansion of Hyderabad Metro Rail Project.  We strongly believe that Metro Rail is an essential transportation solution that will not only alleviate the existing traffic congestion but also promote economic growth, enhance connectivity, and improve the overall quality of life for residents living in Northern Hyderabad and Secundrabad.

 
Medchal, Shamirpet, Gandimaisamma and Northern Hyderabad have witnessed significant population growth, urbanization, New Gateway IT Park, and increasing commercial activities over the years. However, the current transportation infrastructure has failed to keep up with these developments, resulting in severe traffic congestion on NH 44, longer commuting times, and deteriorating air quality. Therefore, the time has come to address these pressing issues and invest in a sustainable and efficient Metro Rail system. 

Benefits of Metro Rail Connectivity to Medchal: 
1. Alleviating Traffic Congestion: Metro Rail will provide an alternative mode of transportation that reduces the dependence on private vehicles, resulting in a decrease in congestion on National Highway 44. This will result in smoother traffic flow and shorter travel times for commuters to Hi-Tech City, Secundrabad, Kukutpally, and other areas in Hyderabad. 
2. Enhanced Connectivity: Metro Rail will establish seamless connectivity and connect Medchal with key areas of Hyderabad, including  Hi-Tech City, educational institutions, commercial hubs, residential areas, and medical facilities. This will facilitate easy and convenient travel for residents, students, employees, and visitors alike. 
3. Environmental Sustainability: The Metro Rail system is an eco-friendly mode of transportation that significantly reduces carbon emissions compared to traditional vehicles. By reducing the number of cars on the NH 44, Metro Rail will contribute to improving air quality and mitigating the adverse effects of pollution. 
4. Socio-Economic Development in Medchal: Medchal Metro Rail connectivity will stimulate economic growth by attracting investments, fostering employment opportunities, and promoting the development of commercial and residential projects in the Medchal and Northern Hyderabad region. This will enhance the overall socio-economic well-being of Hyderabad and Telangana. 
5. Improved Quality of Life: Metro Rail offers a safe, convenient, and reliable mode of transportation, making commuting easier and more comfortable for all residents of Medchal and Hyderabad. It will reduce travel stress, increase productivity, and provide a hassle-free travel experience for citizens of all ages. 

We, fromNorthern Hyderabad Metro Rail Sadhana Samithi (NHMRSS),, the undersigned, urge Chief Minister of Telangana, Sri A Revanth Reddy Garu, Managing Director, Hyderabad Metro Rail Corporation Sri NVS Reddy Garu, concerned authorities, including the local government, transport authorities, and relevant stakeholders, to prioritize the implementation of Metro Rail connectivity to Medchal and Northern Hyderabad. We request the allocation of necessary funds, resource mobilization, and collaboration with experienced consultants and organizations to conduct feasibility studies, plan the route, and commence construction of Medchal Metro Rail as soon as possible. 

KITEA (Kompally IT Entrepreneurs Association under the leadership of Oruganti Venkateswarlu rigorously pursued the Gateway IT Park in Kandlakoya, Medchal with the Telangana government and the IT Project work is in progress. Metro Rail to Medchal will help the Northern Region of Hyderabad and speed up the new IT Hub in the Medchal area.

By signing this petition, we demonstrate our strong demand for Metro Rail connectivity in Medchal and Northern Hyderabad, believing that it will greatly benefit Medchal and the Northern region of Hyderabad as a whole.
