Often times, a president starts their term going into office by having to make changes to an already broken system. It takes time to identify the problems, make a plan of corrective action, implement the plan, and then move on to the next issue. Seeing changes in a presidency could take years, if not decades. I would say it takes a minimum of 2 years for a president to see results, and it just is not fair to rush them and then throw them out of office. Especially if they care about our country and are really trying to make positive changes.

I suggest that we create 5 year minimum terms and remove term limits. After the first 5 years, we would then hold a vote determining whether or not to keep that current president. If we vote no, then we go to an election. If voting yes, then we will let them continue for another year where we will then vote again. The only time that a presidency will be cut short is if they are impeached prior to the end of their term. With all that, I believe we need to get rid of electoral college and allow every vote to count separately so that we all get a say in our government's direction.

It does not matter what party you stand with. The fact is that we need to take control of our nation as one unified people instead of being separated by a system that is broken. WE THE PEOPLE need to have more say in what happens. Right now we stand between "I can't do another 4 years of this!" and "Four years is not enough.."
