The Issue

The Wembley Event Day permit enforcement area is an effective and cost effective method used by Brent Council to regulate parking on Wembley Event Days. Unfortunately, the scheme does not extend its reach fully to St Raphaels Estate. This frequently results in non-residents, visitors of the stadium, employees, and stadium contractors (which includes their large coaches and minibuses) using the estate for parking during events, causing severe inconvenience to the residents. The lack of enforcement also increases the number of abandoned and nuisance vehicles. The Council, being the land owner of St Raphaels Estate, is already enforcing parts of the estate, but its scope for the entire estate is, at present, very limited. Brent has the resources in terms of Parking enforcement officers and has clear jurisdiction to enforce the Wembley Event Day permit scheme in this area with immediate effect.

The permits for the scheme are issued by Ringo, and cost only £15 for 3 years which also meets the requirements of affordability for residents. However, Ringo should be directed to scrutinise applications more closely to avoid misuse. It's time to extend the parking permit enforcement to the whole of St Raphaels Estate, to alleviate the burden on its residents during event days.

We the residents of  St Raphaels would like the council to adopt the following roads within the St Raphaels Estate to be included in the enforcement area for Wembley Stadium Event Days:

Lovett Way

Hardie Close

Lansbury Close

Henderson Close

Tillet Close

Overton Close

Rainsborough Close

& All Areas Identifiable As Within St Raphs Estate

Currently Brent Council Wembley Event Day Enforcement Areas Are

Besant Way

Pitfield Way

St Raphaels Way

Garden Way
