Extend Permanent Voter Card (PVC) Registration Exercise by 90 days

Extend Permanent Voter Card (PVC) Registration Exercise by 90 days
The Issue
There are overwhelming queues across Nigeria at Permanent Voters Card (PVC) registration points caused by inadequate number of capturing points.
As a result, many eligible voters are at the risk of being disenfranchised since the rate of registration is far less than the people turning out.
Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) set May 30th and June 30th as end dates for the online and physical PVC registration exercise respectively.
Since the election is in February 2023, the PVC exercise should be extended by at least 90 days (online & physical) with INEC providing more mass registeration centres in public places including worship centres, markets and key areas of congregation.
