We’ve begun receiving responses from local officials, including Murrieta City Councilmembers, confirming that:

Long-term HOV lane expansion is planned
Additional bypass (auxiliary) lanes are being pursued
There is ongoing coordination with Caltrans
While this is encouraging, it also reinforces that the Murrieta/Temecula segment remains a critical bottleneck that is not yet fully resolved.
