Privacy Note: We do not want your full unredacted files, applications or medical notes—only the receipt Navy CRSC gave you. DO NOT SEND MEDICAL EVIDENCE / APPLICATIONS.  DO NOT SEND MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS PERIOD.

To all Navy and Marine Corps Veterans currently awaiting a CRSC decision:

As many of you are aware, the wait times for Combat-Related Special Compensation (CRSC) applications through the Navy Council of Review Boards (CORB) have reached unacceptable levels. We are seeing a pattern of delays exceeding 12 months—far beyond the reasonable standard for administrative processing.

If you are currently receiving CRSC and waited 12 month or longer and want to participate getting this fixed for future Sailors and Marines please send your receipt letter and the day you started getting paid CRSC.

To address this systemic failure, I am organizing a Formal Group Complaint to be submitted to the Naval Inspector General (NAVINSGEN) and the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Manpower and Reserve Affairs).

The Goal
By submitting a consolidated "packet" of evidence, we can prove that these are not isolated incidents, but a departmental failure that requires immediate oversight, increased staffing, or a policy overhaul.

How to Join the Complaint
If you have been waiting over 12 months for a decision since your application was received, please provide the following:

A Copy of your Official Receipt Letter:

This is the letter/email from the Navy CRSC Board confirming they received your application. It must show a date that is at least 12 months old.
Current Status (if known): Any correspondence you have received regarding "backlogs" or "pending" status.

AGAIN DO NOT SEND MEDICAL INFORMATION. CRSC APPLICATION RECEIPT ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS ONLY!

Why This Matters
Individual inquiries are often met with generic "we are working on it" responses. However, a multi-veteran evidence packet submitted to the Inspector General creates a mandatory "Administrative Inquiry." By standing together, we force the Navy to account for these delays on the record.

Deadline for Submissions: 01MAR25
