Petition updateExpose Global Election Interference: Regulate the IDU and Protect Democracy EverywhereStop the IDU: End the Global Alliance Fueling Authoritarianism and Genocide

Even if the authoritarian forces tearing through our democracies were to vanish tomorrow, the damage would remain. Just as the climate crisis cannot be reversed overnight, the social wounds inflicted by leaders like Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu will take years—if not generations—to heal.

They’ve legitimized bigotry, mainstreamed hatred, and emboldened ideologies that target the most vulnerable among us. Their influence has bled into streets, schools, governments, and even military institutions. People now fear being stopped, harassed, or assaulted simply for how they look. Entire populations live under the shadow of policies rooted in ethnic supremacy and religious nationalism.

This is not politics as usual. This is the dismantling of social trust, human dignity, and international law.

Worse still, they haven’t done it alone. Behind the scenes is a well-funded, globally networked machine of coordination and reinforcement: the International Democrat Union (IDU).

Stephen Harper, as its chairman, continues to offer Canada’s name and credibility to a project that now includes Trump, Netanyahu, Orbán, and other far-right leaders undermining democratic institutions across the world. Pierre Poilievre, who aspires to be Canada’s next Prime Minister, has yet to renounce this alliance.

I am praying—not because I believe blindly, but because I refuse to give up hope. As an agnostic, I find myself crying out to something greater: for justice, for decency, for an end to this nightmare.

And I refuse to stay silent while women are dragged from streets by men in uniform with no accountability. I refuse to call that “law and order.” When we allow unchecked power to parade as legitimacy, we invite horrors disguised as governance.

This petition is not just a political document. It is a collective cry for accountability.

If we can’t stop this global authoritarian alliance today, then at the very least, we must name it. We must expose it. And we must demand that Canada no longer participate in it—in our name, with our taxes, or under the pretense of democracy.

Let history never say we stayed silent.
