We call on FIFA to immediately investigate and take the strongest possible disciplinary action against Mohammad Mohebi and the Iran National Football Team following Mohebi's controversial gun gesture during the 2026 FIFA World Cup match against the New Zealand National Football Team. The incident has generated widespread outrage among football fans worldwide and prompted public calls for FIFA sanctions.

FIFA's core principles are built on respect, fair play, human dignity, non-discrimination, and the responsibility of participants to uphold the values of the game. The World Cup is not merely a sporting competition—it is a global symbol of unity and mutual respect.
