Sitting on a noisy 1-hour commute without an option for quiet to sleep or work is insufferable and a waste of the tax dollars that go toward funding Septa. Currently, the First Car = Quiet Car policy operates only from 4 am - 7 pm on weekdays and only on trains with three or more cars. This limited implementation does not adequately serve the needs of all commuters who require a peaceful environment throughout their journey.

Expanding this policy to all operating hours would significantly improve the commuting experience for many passengers, providing them with a dedicated space to rest, read, or work without unnecessary disturbances. It is essential that Septa considers the well-being of ALL its riders by extending this beneficial policy.
