Expand PEAGS funding to Little Explorers Belleek
The Issue
Our dream is simple yet powerful, to welcome funded preschool places at Little Explorers Daycare Belleek starting in 2027. Every day at our daycare, we witness the growth, joy, and discovery that define the early years of childhood. While we take immense pride in nurturing little minds, a critical gap remains in our offerings, forcing families to move their children elsewhere to access PEAGS funded preschool places.
This gap is more than an administrative oversight; it's a challenge to family stability and children's educational continuity. Each year, as children reach preschool age, we lose beloved members of our community who must leave because we lack the funding options available elsewhere. Families are faced with the hard decision of staying and paying out of pocket or seeking different educational environments to accommodate their funding needs.
Preschools like ours play a crucial role in early childhood development, embarking children on a journey of structured learning that shapes their futures. Recognizing this, many parents have voiced their desire to keep their children within the familiar and nurturing environment of Little Explorers, without financial barriers.
To achieve this vision, we need to demonstrate a strong community interest and need. By signing this petition, you will help us show the Education Authority that there is robust demand for funded preschool places at our daycare. This evidence will support our case and help us influence the allocation of funding resources to include Little Explorers Belleek.
The Education Authority is responsive to communities that actively participate in shaping their educational landscape. Your signature is a powerful testament to the necessity of offering PEAGS funded places here in Belleek.
Let us work together to ensure that families in our community have the choice to stay. Join our cause to provide continuity, stability, and quality early education for our children by signing and sharing this petition today. Let's bring PEAGS funded preschool places to Little Explorers Belleek for the benefit of our current and future young explorers.
