My name is Jacquie Roundy, I have been striving to help this community since I was in high school and participated in the Miss Sevier Pageant back in 2014. My platform then and now is still Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention.
This has turned into a personal journey for the past few years, Especially since the age of 22 when I was diagnosed with an entire list of mental illnesses. 
It’s my personal opinion that we need a mental health facility here in Richfield where children, young adults, elderly, ANYONE can go to get the help they need during a mental health crisis. Somewhere where they can get the mental health support they need during a very vulnerable time in their lives.
This facility would have every resource needed in this time of need, just like any other facility in the big cities. 
I presented my petition To the City Council back in January 2022. Mayor Burrows and the other City Council members, were supportive of this petition and wanted me to continue reaching out to the community, I have and still do every chance I get. In total I have almost 1,000 signatures, online here and on paper. The city council meetings I try to hit every few months for updates.
I started off by Going around to local businesses and educating the individuals that were interested in my petition. They would then purchase the $10 sticker, let me post it on their business and then sign my petition. 
I have a few “sponsors” in Richfield Utah, Maybe you’ve seen my sticker around? 🤔
I’ve posted in the local paper back when I first started, I plan to post this again every few months. 
Soon I will be at certain events around town with a Green canopy, The stickers you can buy, shirts, hats, free lanyards, and all different kinds of swag. 💯 
If you or someone you know has ever had a mental health struggle and needed to seek immediate care, help me make this possible by signing this petition, so we can have the help we need here locally, so we don’t have to be transported several hours away from our homes, friends and Family. 
Everyone has an addiction of some kind, or a mental health struggle that can be managed through medications, therapy, detox all the things provided at behavioral/mental health facilities. 
We all need a place we can stay for however long needed to get the help we need mentally, to return home to our families, jobs and homes in the community we live and love 🏡💗
