I recently discovered that I am intolerant to gluten, and am shocked by the limited options available for people like me. Particularly, the lunch meal deals at Boots and Tesco are lacking in gluten-free alternatives. This is not just about convenience or variety; it's about inclusivity for those of us who have dietary restrictions due to health reasons. 

The World Health Organization estimates that approximately 1% of people worldwide have coeliac disease (WHO). In addition to this, many more, an estimated 7% suffer from non-coeliac gluten sensitivity. This means that a large number of customers are being overlooked and under-catered for.

We urge Boots and Tesco to expand their range of gluten-free options within their lunch meal deals. By doing so, they will not only cater to a significant customer base but also promote healthier choices for everyone. It's time we make dietary inclusivity a standard practice in all food establishments.
