Dear all,
I thank you all for your support to this important agenda.
I have a very positive news for us all!
On Friday, the 19th of May, I made the Minister for Transport, Jo Haylen's office aware of this petition.
On the same day, I e-mailed the 5 offices of the 5 MPs, who are members for the suburbs within the petition either wholly or partially within their electoral divisions, including the Deputy Premier and MP, Prue Car (Member for Londonderry).
Deputy Premier Car's office has acknowledged the petition and my correspondence on Tuesday, 23 May, advising that she has written to Minister Haylen to have the agenda of the petition considered. Dep Premier Car's office is awaiting a response from the Minister.
I have requested via Prue's office that the Minister provide us:
- a transparent plan of action that tells us clearly what the Minister is planning to do in regards to the agenda within the petition
- a response either personally at the parliament or via social media or a platform that can be accessed by all of us (the general public)
I will provide another update in due course. For now, let's get to signing, and most importantly sharing this petition with your network, businesses and community groups in our suburbs.
Let's make this happen everyone!
Kind Regards
Suman Regmi.
