Exemption for current immigrants from the proposed immigration changes

Sub: Exemption for proposed immigration changes for the already arrived and working legal migrants in UK.
We, British Malayali, one of the largest online newspaper in UK representing the Malayali migrated community from the state of Kerala, India would like to bring into your kind attention the following:
The majority of people from our community has still been migrating to UK utilising the opportunities opened up for nurses, other medical/caring staffs, IT professionals and also for hotel and hospitality staffs right from the era of previous labour govts led by ex prime minister Sir Tony Blair onwards. Hundreds and thousands of families arrived from late 1990s has already settled happily in UK now by acquiring the British citizenshio and leading a prosperous life integrating well and contributing their core values and professional expertise to the local community and health sector in UK.
Known as "angels" in our homeland, nurses and carers have migrated to UK not only from within India but also from other foreign countries such as Middle East, where they had been working.
Even though a good numbers have already settled well by obtaining permanent residency as per the current qualifying period of 5 years, another considerable number has migrated with families within the last five years and as you may be aware that most of them have migrated with the intention of settling with families in UK for a better life and good educational opportunities for their children.
As your good office will agree that extending five years to another 10 years will definitely shatter their dream of settling in the UK. As a matter of fact, a substantial amount of money has already spent by these families for re-settliing from India including the visa fees, travelling and other incidental expenses. These families are already in financial strain due to the visa renewal fees for every three years before applying for the current stipulated 5 years for indefinite leave to remain and further extension will put them into a vicious circle wherein they are already in the process of setting in UK with young children adapted to the British values and culture.
Moreover, they believe in great values and their dedication towards the profession especially nursing job is widely accepted globally and Malayali nurses and carers are working all over the world by rendering their utmost care and professional excellence in the medical field.
As such, we request you to please consider the above factors and kindly exempt the above people-who are already living here with families- from the proposed extension of permanent residency in UK, as published in the white paper by our honourable Prime Minister Sir Kier Starmer recently.
