I am 100 percent politically upset by the ongoing war in Ukraine, a conflict that has affected countless lives and continues to destabilize the area. As an individual who values peace, justice, and fair play, I believe it's time for us to take a stand against those who perpetuate such conflicts. 

In light of this situation, we call upon the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and other international sports organizations to ban the participation of Russian and Belarusian teams in all future competitions and transfer them to other national teams. This is not a decision we propose lightly but one born out of necessity due to their governments' involvement in the Ukraine crisis.

According to reports from Human Rights Watch, both Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Belarus' support for these actions have resulted in numerous human rights abuses (Human Rights Watch 2022). By allowing these nations' teams to participate in global sporting events like the Olympics or Paralympics, we indirectly endorse their actions.

Sporting events should be platforms that promote peace, unity, fairness - values that are currently being undermined by Russia's aggressive actions towards Ukraine with support from Belarus. Therefore it is crucial for international sports bodies like IOC & IPC to uphold these principles by taking decisive action.
