Save the Smithfield jumps and wooden features
The issue
This petition is to save the Smithfield jumps
These jumps have been here for 10 years plus and us boys have revamped them and made them safer than ever and have made new bigger and better trails. We started working down here when we first went into lock down last year and are still building. A group of 3 boys started a mtb trail to get outside and be active and to get us off our gaming consoles
These jumps are very well built with many trails and jumps for different skill level riders these are safe for everyone at all ages, we have a pump track with kids as young as 5 coming to ride it and bigger jumps for people of higher skill levels. We are there everyday building and maintaining the trails for everyone to ride safely. It started off with 3 boys now we have a community with over 8 boys there everyday over the last year and a half and people of all age groups coming to ride the trails and get amongst the mtb life, helping us dig and locals giving us materials to build some great features. We have even made a bridge that crosses the creek allowing the local walkers to cross to the other side of the park and it’s also part of our trails.
We please ask you to sign this petition, and ask your friends and family as we need as many signatures as we can to save the jumps for years to come for the new generation.
