Encourage Filmmakers Around the World to Include More Snap-Zooms in the Media They Create

The Issue

The Foundation for the Appreciation and Proliferation of Snap-Zooms in Film and Television (FAPSZFT) would like to encourage filmmakers around the world to include more snap-zooms in the media they create.

Snap-zooms (sometimes called crash-zooms) have been proven to reduce depression, treat anxiety disorders, and cure cancer. For too long, the healing power of snap-zooms has gone unrecognized and under-appreciated. The stigma against them persists to this day from people who think they don't belong in "serious" films, and who think they're too "flashy". The truth is, snap-zooms belong in literally everything. There is not a movie, television show, or advertisement that would not be improved by having more snap-zooms. This is why we are hoping to reach the target of including at least 3 in every feature film, and 1 in every episode of television by the year 2025. It's an ambitious goal, but with your help I believe we can make it happen.

Unfortunately, we cannot legally require or force directors to include snap-zooms in their movies with the full force of the law (though that would be nice), so we will have to encourage them to do the right thing of their own accord. Many will see the light, but some will be harder to convince. For such people, shaming them might be the only way to convince them, so don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. Sometimes you have to #cancel a few eggs to make an omelette.

Thank you for lending your support to our cause. Long live snap-zooms!

- Jamie Duffy, President and Vice President of FAPSZFT
