Respite Capacity and Waiting List Figures

• Greenhill is open six nights per week and nearly fully staffed.

•  The service operates at one child per night.

• Families may be offered up to two consecutive nights in special circumstances/crisis situations.

The most recent FOI response states that 20 families are currently receiving respite.

• No explanation has been provided for the change from operating two beds per night to one bed per night.

Waiting list figures (from FOI responses):

• A recent FOI states that 15 families are currently on the respite waiting list.

• A previous FOI stated that 65 children were on the waiting list.

• No explanation has been provided for the reduction from 65 children to 15 families.

Taken together, the information provided through FOI responses sets out the current operating model, the number of families receiving respite, and the reported waiting list figures, without any explanation of how capacity, allocation, or waiting list figures are being determined or recorded.
