For years, European Taylor Swift fans have experienced the same frustrating situation whenever highly anticipated limited vinyl records, CDs or collector's editions are released.

A new release appears in the European store. Fans react immediately, add the item to their cart — and sometimes, within seconds or only a few minutes, it is already sold out.

Meanwhile, the same or comparable releases may remain available considerably longer through the US store.

We understand what limited edition means. We are not asking for unlimited stock or for every collectible to remain available forever.

We are asking for a fair chance to buy it.

Europe has an enormous Taylor Swift fan community, yet many European collectors repeatedly experience extremely short availability during high-demand releases. When products disappear almost immediately, ordinary fans barely have a realistic opportunity to complete their purchase.

And then comes perhaps the most frustrating part:

Shortly after these releases sell out, the same products frequently appear on resale platforms at significantly inflated prices.

Fans should not have to compete with automated purchasing, bulk buyers or professional resellers simply to buy Taylor's music at its intended retail price.

Taylor Swift collectibles should reach fans before they reach scalpers.

We therefore ask Taylor Swift's team, Taylor Nation, Universal Music Group and the operators of Taylor Swift's European stores to consider:

• Fairer allocation of limited stock to European stores based on actual demand.

• Effective purchase limits per customer and/or household for extremely limited releases.

• Stronger protection against bots and automated purchasing.

• A fair queue or checkout system during extremely high-demand releases.

• Greater transparency regarding availability, regional allocations and potential restocks.

• Additional restocks or production runs where appropriate when demand massively exceeds the initial supply.

This is not about one missed vinyl or one collector's edition.

For many European Swifties, this has happened repeatedly — release after release, year after year.

We refresh the official store. We follow Taylor Nation. We react immediately when something is announced.

And still, European releases can disappear before many fans even have the opportunity to complete checkout.

This petition is not an attack on Taylor Swift, Taylor Nation or Universal Music Group.

Quite the opposite.

We are here because we love Taylor's music.

We buy the albums. We collect the vinyl. We attend the concerts. We support the releases.

European Swifties are an important part of this community.

We simply want a fair opportunity to participate.

We respectfully ask Taylor Swift, Taylor Nation and Universal Music Group to review how limited music releases are allocated and sold across Europe and to introduce measures that give genuine fans a better opportunity to purchase these items at their intended retail price.

Limited should mean limited.

It should not mean impossible.
