Association of McKenzie Friends
Jan 21, 2015
Dear Supporter, On one level, I should be pleased: -- under the auspices of Tatjana Zdanoka MEP we finalised the title and general framework for a 'workshop' on "Children Screaming to be Heard" in the beginning of March, as a first of a series of events highlighting the issues surrounding our challenges. However, on another level, I am also a 'wounded warrior', trying to make sense out of non-sensical experiences: -- on Monday, I was in Court 44 before Judge Roderic Woods - for committal to prison. Accidentally, I had left a file relating to a case that had been published on the Isle of Man on Vicky Haigh's website in 2011. Now the mother, I and Vicky were supposed to be sent to prison for that! But eventually I knew how to publish my thoughts, as I was taking advice from McKenzie Friends. And bingo, that was the bullet: in the corridor outside the court, the father's barrister reproached me for making a serious allegation against the father without even knowing him. Well, I had set the post to PRIVATE of course, since I knew I would have to promise never to write about this again. Surprising result: the application to commit us 3 ladies to prison was withdrawn! AND it took place in OPEN court, for that was one of my concerns that I had published about. -- on Tuesday, I was in Court 32, ironically with the same Court Usher, as we are all helping the absolutely worst of all cases where the father has abused his own and some other 20 children as part of an organised cult. See -- https://nationalinquiry.wordpress.com/2015/01/03/camden-where-theatre-meets-reality-a-play-on-abuse-in-a-childrens-home/ -- http://mckenzie-friends.co.uk/2015/01/02/why-ian-josephs-advises-mothers-not-to-report-the-crimes-of-abusive-fathers-you-lose-your-children/ -- https://nationalinquiry.wordpress.com/2014/12/26/children-in-care-to-protect-policecover-up-of-organised-childsexualabuse/. And now I am writing from the Press Centre of the EU Parliament, after the Latvian host of the event in March pointed me to www.savethefamily.eu - for Russian speaking families so far only. She asked me whether we can contribute financially to the organisation of the event. And I said: we have had an account for a Victims Fund for many years, but hardly anybody has filled it. We have now set up The Knight Foundation with charitable status and thus we can raise funds in tax efficient ways. My question to you is therefore whether you'd be willing to scroll down on the www.victims-unite.net site until you see FEED THE VICTIMS FUND and make a one-off donation or set up a regular direct debit? As a next step, the account will be owned by The Knight Foundation of which I am a Director and Company Secretary. The website is http://www.theknightfoundation.org.uk/home/ There you can see how Lloyds have been incapable of setting up a bank account so far. So I have suggested that they provide 'match funding' for at least a year, i.e. every donation that comes in will be matched by the same amount by them. Will that teach them? Who knows. I still would prefer to live in a world where we do not have to experience as much pain as we do. However, for the time being I can only hope that my entirely self-funded activities in Brussels will bring some soothing to some families... I have learned to be 'proud to be poor', as I am managing my minimal pension budget. But I trust that you will follow the Russian Consul who said "I believe in you." I shall report in two weeks next. For that's when our next planning meeting will take place! Until then: deep sighs and high hopes from the EU Parliament where I happened to run into someone from UKIP and mentioned our story. So let's see where my passion for networking will take me next. Yours most connectedly, Sabine
