So many undiscovered talents want to show their creativity but don't have their chances. Malaysia's caricature industry, with over 30 years of rich history, deserves greater recognition and support. In order to elevate the status of local caricaturists and celebrate the longstanding contribution of Malaysian caricature art, we urge the relevant authorities to organize the Second National Caricature Festival of Malaysia in 2024. The inaugural festival, held in 20223 showcased the immense talent and creativity within our and international caricaturist community. It provided a platform for artists to showcase their work, connect with fellow creators, and engage with the public. By hosting a second festival, we can build upon this success and further promote the Malaysian caricature industry on a national and international scale.

A second National Caricature Festival of Malaysia would:

Provide a platform for emerging and established caricaturists to exhibit their work.
Foster creativity and innovation within the Malaysian caricature community.
Promote cultural exchange and appreciation through caricature art.
Attract local and international visitors, boosting tourism and economic activity.
Enhance Malaysia's reputation as a hub for artistic talent and cultural diversity.
We call upon the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, as well as other stakeholders, to support and facilitate the organization of the Second National Caricature Festival of Malaysia in 2024.
