Establish the Second High School Satan Club (HSSC) at Hickman High School

Establish the Second High School Satan Club (HSSC) at Hickman High School
The Issue
As a concerned individual and a strong advocate for diversity, my journey has always revolved around promoting acceptance of all backgrounds, races, genders, sexualities, and religions. The lack of diverse belief systems represented in school clubs highlighted a need that I personally felt within the city of Columbia.
Here, the High School Satan Club (HSSC)will create a safe place for all students to discuss real-world topics, hone life skills, and address mental health. HHSC comes to the fore as not just an alternative, but a necessity. Contrary to perception, HSSC, while funded by the Satanic Temple, does not involve practicing religious rituals but serves as a thought-provoking platform that separates facts from feelings and emotions.
The American Religious Identification Survey (ARIS) indicates there are nearly 9 million self-identified atheists and agnostics in America, mirroring a drastic rise in non-theism amongst the youth (PRRI, 2017). This points to an urgent requirement for clubs like HSSC to cater to these students, allowing them to gather and learn within an embracing and respectful environment, affirming their choices and promoting ethical actions without a specific deity in the frame.
The establishment of the second HSSC in the USA will become a step towards equality and diversity, urging the education system to acknowledge a broader spectrum of beliefs and ideologies.
Join me in advocating for the creation of the second High School Satan Club within the USA. Sign the petition. Let our collective voices be heard.
