Our brothers and sisters-in-law are significant parts of our lives. They symbolize the bond of two different families coming together. Yet, currently, there is no special day for acknowledging the valuable relationships we share with our brothers and sisters-in-law. We propose that May 10th be established as National Brother and Sister-in-Law Day to express our love and gratitude to these indispensable family members. Having a Brother and Sister-in-Law Day would give us the opportunity to celebrate the familial connections that are built through marriage, not birth. It would also familiarize the dominant culture and society with the concept that family isn't just about blood relations, it's also about the relationships we choose. Join us in advocating for the establishment of May 10th as National Brother and Sister-in-law Day as an expression of admiration and respect for all brothers and sisters-in-law across the nation.
