Thanks to your support, in February 2025, Greater Dandenong City Council launched an advisory committee specific to the LGBTIQA+ community.

This is a huge step forward and something we can all be proud of!

Now it's time for Greater Dandenong City Council to work with their LGBTIQA+ Advisory Committee to develop a Rainbow Action Plan dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTIQA+ residents and families.

This Rainbow Action Plan would identify areas of improvement, from promoting inclusivity to creating safe spaces, which are essential for the mental and emotional wellbeing of our community.

By developing a Rainbow Action Plan, the Council would affirm its commitment to promoting a sense of unity, respect, and dignity amongst all residents, regardless of their sexuality, sex characteristics, or gender identity.

This would enhance social cohesion and create a community where everyone genuinely feels valued, safe, and accepted.
