My name is Vini Fornari, a resident of Oceanside who has been surfing since the age of 5. I have been fortunate to make a career out of my passion for surfing and now I wish to share this passion with others in our community. It is therefore with deep commitment and enthusiasm for this sport, that I am urging the City of Oceanside Council to consider the establishment of an A+ surf school.

The proposed surf school is expected to bring great benefits to our community, not only by promoting healthy outdoor activities but also by fostering community engagement and revitalizing our local economy. This surf school would offer year-round surf programs to residents and visitors alike, broadening the avenues for leisure and improving the touristic appeal of Oceanside.

Moreover, the additional prospect of a summer camp would provide young members of our community with enriching experiences while teaching them indispensable life skills. The global surfing industry was estimated to reach $3.1 billion by 2024 (Source: Statista), suggesting that individuals proficient in surfing will be better positioned for diverse career opportunities beyond our community.

We are confident that a first-rate all levels surf school would be a unique selling point for our city and could serve as an essential part of our identity. For these reasons, we believe the establishment of an A+ Surf School in our beautiful city of Oceanside is not just a heartfelt request but an essential move for community growth.
