I am a survivor of sexual assault, and my heart goes out to victims of child pornography, torture porn, rape porn, and those who are forced into the horrific reality of creating such content. This is not just my fight; it's our fight.

The digital age has brought many benefits but also new forms of crime that need specialized attention. We need to establish a cyber crime division dedicated to handling cases involving illegal pornography. This division should have the power to distribute harsher prison sentences for offenders found in possession of such material.

According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), there has been an 846% increase in reports of suspected child sexual exploitation from 2010 to 2015 due largely to the growth of technology that allows easy distribution and access (source: NCMEC). The Internet Watch Foundation reported over 132,000 URLs containing child sexual abuse imagery in 2019 alone (source: IWF).

These statistics are alarming and demonstrate an urgent need for action. A specialized cyber crime division would help lower the rate of cyber offenders on a global scale by providing more focused investigations into these crimes.

We cannot stand idle while these heinous acts continue unchecked online. Let's take action now by demanding stricter sentences for those involved in this dark side of cyberspace.
