For too long, corporate landlords have treated human lives as revenue streams. They’ve bought our neighborhoods, poisoned our air, and profited from our pain. They hide behind subsidiaries and fake “choices,” but the truth is simple — the same Big 3 own the homes, the loans, and the law.

They control the system. But they do not control the people.

Families are displaced. Rents skyrocket. Inspections are falsified. Tenants are silenced. And when we speak out — we’re threatened, blacklisted, or thrown out.

The illusion of choice ends here. The silence ends here. The people rise here.

We, the tenants of this nation, are standing together to form the National Tenant Union (NTU) — a permanent, people-powered system of truth, transparency, and accountability.

This movement isn’t charity. It’s justice. And from this day forward — the same corporations that created the crisis will fund the solution.

What We Demand

 1. The National Tenant Bill of Rights A federal framework guaranteeing every tenant the right to safety, health, dignity, and peace — backed by enforceable law, not empty promises.

2. Corporate Accountability & Oversight Every corporate landlord above 500 units must pay into the NTU Accountability Fund — fines, fees, and bonds dedicated to tenant protection, relocation, and restitution. If you profit from housing, you must also pay for its integrity.

3. Escrow & Emergency Relief No more “rent or suffer.” Tenants in uninhabitable homes can legally hold rent in NTU-supervised escrow until verified repairs are complete. Funds from corporate fines will cover emergency relocation, health remediation, and legal defense for tenants across America.

 4. Transparency & Truth The illusion of choice ends now. Every ownership chain, shell company, and property manager must be publicly disclosed in the National Housing Transparency Database. If one parent company owns ten “different” housing brands, the public deserves to know.

5. The Right to Organize & Be Heard Tenants have the same right to organize that workers have. We are the heartbeat of every city, every community, every home — and our voices will no longer be silenced by fear, retaliation, or eviction threats.

6. National Oversight & Data Power The NTU will manage a nationwide system to map corporate ownership, violations, and settlements. No more secrets. No more lost records. Only truth, accountability, and public access.

7. Justice, Health, & Environmental Protection A safe home means clean air, clean water, and freedom from toxins. Mold, lead, sewage, radiation, or chemical exposure — these are human-rights violations. Corporations responsible must fund relocation, cleanup, restitution, and public disclosure.

Why This Matters Because no one should have to choose between shelter and survival. Because children deserve to breathe air that heals, not harms. Because elders deserve warmth and dignity, not neglect. Because families deserve peace, not poison.

Every family has a story. Every tenant carries truth. This movement makes sure those stories rewrite the system itself.

We are not victims — we are the vanguard. We are not asking — we are declaring.
