For us residents of Fernley, NV, a trip to the DMV is more than just an errand - it's an entire day's event. With over 20,000 residents in our town, we are required to drive 30 minutes to the nearest DMV and then wait for an additional 3-4 hours. This is not just inconvenient; it's draining and disruptive to our daily lives.

Our town has grown significantly over the past few years. According to U.S Census Bureau data from 2019, Fernley has a population of approximately 20,068 people. It is estimated that this number has since increased by at least 5%, bringing our current population well above the threshold that typically warrants having a local DMV office.

Having a local DMV would not only alleviate the inconvenience faced by our community members but also reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions associated with unnecessary travel. It would also create local jobs and contribute positively to our economy.
