When seniors were asked "why they believe they should still be allowed a Graduation ceremony, and prom?" here are a few answers given. 

• "It’s our last prom, we’re never gonna have the chance to go again, plus so many people have already bought their dresses and shoes so we should be able to still have it.
  Graduation is the biggest moment of our lives,it’s our first real graduation and the teachers and administrators shove it down our throats for YEARS then decide we can’t have that so they take it away, it’s a big deal for me and every senior and not something we should get taken away" - Amaya Graves 
• "They are the threshold that seniors must cross to get to their adult life. Without these thresholds there will be less motivation to become an adult. Even for the seniors who hadn't planned on attending prom and wasnt looking forward to graduation. They would see everyone around them growing up so they would too"-Jenna Tapitza 
• "I feel everyone deserves prom and their ceremony, we worked hard just to get to this point and this may be the last time we see eachother for tye rest of our lives." - anonymous 
• "I feel like I've fought so hard and for so long to prove it to everyone I will be able to after alot of people said I'd just be a drop out"- Michaela Sullivan 
• "I already spent $130 on fabric and a pattern to make my own prom dress, and it's awful being the only child of 4 in my family to potentially not be able to get a true graduation and senior prom when all of my brothers got those things. I dont want to look back at high school and think "I'm the only kid in my family to not walk the stage and get my senior prom"" -Kira Schultz 
• "I believe we should get at least a graduation ceremony. I never thought that my graduation ceremony would be taken from me. It’s not fair. We should be able to walk across the stage and be able to have our last celebration before we go off on our separate journeys. Its is the final step in our chapters as being kids. For it to be taken away is wrong. We should reschedule and get our moment to shine." - Maddy Brochey

• "We have waited so many years for the moment to dress up for OUR senior prom, and to think it will be taken away from us is a joke. Graduation is a big part of every teenagers life, because walking across the stage is only the beginning of what we have been working hard for. If we don’t get those we wouldn’t have live a normal teenage life." -Victoria Petersen 
• "We deserve it because some of us have been waiting for this moment for the past 12 yrs of schooling, it’s like a right of passage" -Jada 
• "My reason is that it’s my last year and I want to have all the memories about being a senior when I’m older and being with my friends for the last time. Putting all my work and time in to getting good grads so I can graduate. If I don’t get this then I can’t say good bye to my friends or my favorite teachers and that’s not fair." -Katie Glennon
