Tomorrow morning, Wednesday, November 5th at 8:30 AM, the Indiana Parole Board will hold a public clemency hearing for my brother, Kofi. Doors open at 8:15 AM, and seating is limited—only 20 seats, first come, first served.
For the first time, Kofi will have the chance to speak directly to the Parole Board—virtually from Wabash Correctional Facility. His legal team, our family and many of his supporters will be onsite in person at the Parole Board offices, along with Orvan, the foreman of the jury that convicted Kofi, who is leading the call for clemency.
We are deeply hopeful. Clemency is the tallest hill to climb, but we have faith that the Parole Board and the Governor will see Kofi’s heart, his growth, and his humanity—and that this moment will be used for both mercy and justice.
The public outpouring of support has been extraordinary—letters, calls, prayers, and posts from people across Indiana and beyond. Every single one of you helps make the case for compassion and second chances.
Here’s what to expect tomorrow:
8:15 AM – Doors open at the Indiana Parole Board.
8:30 AM – Hearing begins.
Kofi’s attorneys will give opening statements.
Kofi will speak, sharing his own words and truth directly with the Board.
The Parole Board will then ask Kofi questions and hear additional testimony.
After the hearing, the Board will continue accepting additional information for 30 days, then make a confidential recommendation to the Governor within 60 days.
The Governor has sole discretion to grant clemency and is on no formal timeline for a decision.

This hearing is not just about my brother—it’s about condemning senseless violence, honoring the lives of Nick, Lisa, and Chris, and holding the pain that their families and loved ones will carry forever. It’s also about what kind of justice system we believe in: one capable of both accountability and grace. Mercy is strength. Forgiveness is courage. And tomorrow, we stand together in hope. ❤️
