I am a survivor of child sexual abuse by Catholic priests, a trauma that has shadowed my life for over fifty years. Throughout these years, I have faced the indifference and inaction of the church which refuses to apologise, acknowledge, or make amends. In a time of despair, I attempted to end my life, but I survived—and I believe I did so for a reason. Hearing about Charlotte O'Brien's tragic story and the continuing ambivalence of the church towards the bullying that led to her death, I felt an overwhelming call to action. I am determined to join her family and the community in honoring Charlotte's memory and ensuring others do not suffer as she did.

**Charlotte's Story: A Promise Yet to be Fulfilled**

Charlotte O'Brien was just twelve years old when she became a victim of relentless bullying, ultimately leading to her untimely death. In the wake of her passing, Santa Sabina College promised a permanent memorial on their campus to honor Charlotte and remind us all of the importance of standing against bullying. However, this promise remains unfulfilled. A memorial is not merely a symbol, but a commitment to change and an acknowledgment of past failures to protect our children. It is critical that Santa Sabina College upholds its promise to Charlotte and her family, ensuring that her story is never forgotten and that steps are taken to foster a safer environment for current and future students.
