Eradicate Sexual Harassment at Outback Steakhouse

The Issue

In a disturbing personal incident, one of our brave co-workers was unjustly fired from Outback Steakhouse after reporting multiple incidences of sexual harassment. This event not only revealed the lack of fairness within the workplace but also highlighted the inadequate support system to handle such serious allegations.

Sadly, this is not an isolated incident. In fact, a study by Restaurant Opportunities Centers United states that two-thirds of female restaurant workers experience sexual harassment from management. This statistic is an alarming indication of the pervasive culture of harassment in the restaurant industry. In an era where principles of respect and equality should be the norm, it's unacceptable for anyone to suffer such discrimination in silence.

Outback Steakhouse, like all establishments, has a legal and moral obligation to provide a safe working environment for its employees. To dismiss survivors of harassment rather than the offenders is not only a blatant disregard of human rights but also a serious legal violation.

We're calling on the management of Outback Steakhouse to review their policies regarding sexual harassment cases. We demand that all allegations of sexual abuse be investigated thoroughly, and if found true, the culprit should face immediate dismissal. Those who report such allegations should be protected and not penalized.

The eradication of sexual harassment within Outback Steakhouse starts with us. Let's make our voices heard. Sign this petition today.
