Stop the destruction of Winney Bay Reserve
The issue
This attack includes Illegal land clearing, destruction of indigenous artefacts, Liberal party figure Michael Sharpe and Liberal Member for Terrigal - Adam Crouch MP flooding local community pages with untrue propaganda. The council is pushing for this environmental terrorism to go ahead which will directly benefit the local and state governments, contractors and the DARKINGJUNG land council (that has no right to speak on this matter as it is not Darkinjung country, this is Guringai country).
Following the outcomes of the 2018 community consultation for the Winney Bay clifftop walk, which resulted in the Councillors returning $4.615M to the Government. The council have now developed three new concept plans for the clifftop walk known as Plans A, B and C which include 'multi-use spaces along the Cliff Top Walk that provide for uses such as local events, exhibitions and weddings'. This in alarming!!! We don't have the infrastructure in our local area to support these plans. First things first the money needs to be spent on bush regeneration, fixing our roads, footpaths and road side gutters and education of the rich Indigenous history of the area.
Please protect the local environment for our future generations by signing this petition and voicing your opinion on the CCC website below
