In Canada, 50% of schools do not have accessibility. Furthermore, within the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), many schools lack accessibility factors.

All students, deserve to be honoured in a school environment that supports their learning style. However, students who are disabled are unable to fulfil their education ethically, as schools do not have the required accessibility.

Schools without ramps, universal bathrooms and accessible buttons for doors, make it harder for students to be in a well-rounded learning environment. This also causes for an unequal opportunity to education, and should be acknowledged.

I strongly believe that this issue should recognized. Therefore, signing this petition is one step closer to spread awareness about this social justice issue, to ensure that Toronto District School Board (TDSB) schools have the proper built in environments for all students in need.
