Ensure Unity Plaza Follows All Regulations for Development Sign-Over

Ensure Unity Plaza Follows All Regulations for Development Sign-Over
The Issue
I live within the community of East New York, Brooklyn, and I'm deeply concerned about the potential changes to our housing situation at Unity Plaza. When signing over our development for repairs, it is crucial that all residents are fully aware of the rules and regulations involved. Housing costs will eventually increase from 30% to 40% monthly in rent payments after taxes.
Moreover, there are CRITICAL conditions that could lead to losing your apartment one year after signing. These include: Losing our tenant association (meaning a public entity would fight for our rights not our own community advocating for us), family income cannot be below $25k annually, assets such as your vehicles value may not exceed $5k, bank account may not have balances over $2.5k, eviction laws will change, you will have 30 days to evict, Section 8 voucher holders have a hard time seeking ulterior places to live, development going into potential foreclosure FORCING EVERYONE TO EVICT, owing back rent among other concerns.
This petition aims to ensure transparency and fairness in this process so that no resident is caught off guard by these drastic changes. Please sign this petition to demand clarity and adherence to all regulations from Unity Plaza management! We won't sign till we know ALL THE FACTS!
