As a concerned parent in Coweta County, GA, I am deeply troubled by the lack of safety measures on our county school buses. It is disheartening to witness the alarming number of incidents where reckless drivers ignore school bus stop signs and endanger the lives of our children. Therefore, I urge you to support this petition calling for the implementation of exterior cameras on all county school-funded transportation.

My personal experience as a parent has only reinforced my belief in the urgent need for exterior cameras on school buses. On numerous occasions, I have witnessed drivers carelessly disregarding stopped buses with their flashing red lights and extended stop signs. This blatant disregard for student safety is not only illegal but also puts innocent lives at risk. It is even more infuriating when it is local police departments in their marked units blowing by. Coweta County needs to be held to a higher standard, and not allocate funds towards expired tag readers, but to our children's safety!!
