I am a mum of 4 neurodiverse children, and we have been left battling for 2.5 years to get support by a pediatric specialist via the NHS for my daughter. Recently, I took her case to Parliament and gained MPs' support. NICE guidelines state that children should be seen within 13 weeks from referrals; however, currently, the wait time in Lincolnshire and Leicestershire is 3 years.

After multiple expedite letters, they still refuse to prioritize our case, citing that they do not expedite for ADHD despite it being recognized as a significant condition requiring timely intervention.

This delay is unacceptable and detrimental to children's development and well-being. We need immediate action to ensure pediatricians follow the NICE guidelines of seeing children with suspected additional needs within 13 weeks.
