Residents at Residential Park Homes sites are not going to receive the £400 government grant towards energy costs, as the majority pay the site owners for their gas and electric.

The site owners often have a business account with an energy company. They read the meters themselves and produce a bill for the residents, not the energy company.

As business accounts are not eligible for the £400 grant, Park Home residents will miss out, they do not have a direct debit with the energy company. As the majority of residents are elderly or very elderly, many with underlying health problems, it is essential that they have this grant.
