Frustration, dejected and outrage was the atmosphere in the randburg magistrate court yesterday as police incompetence and carelessness surfaces in court.
The docket was near empty... no eyewitness statement, no victims statement, no hospital records, no social workers records or child assessment were found.
The magistrate called for the case to be removed from detective Ngobeni's incapable hands and handed to a detective willing to put in the work
"What has he been doing these past months? Contact the station commander. " The magistrate asked in frustration before postponing the case to the 11th of December 2025.
Warona's family refuse to loose hope.
"Yeah neh this is very hard to us but we are still hope that everything will be fine" says Warona’s aunt.
"What is going to happen now, how do we handle this" Warona’s mothers emotional question leaves the community reeling.
A march is being planned and a date will soon be released.
