My name is Danielle Bennett, and I am the mother of Elliot Bennett.

I am asking for your support in bringing attention to my son’s case and ensuring that his constitutional rights are protected.

Elliot was just 19 years old at the time of his arrest. He had recently experienced significant trauma and was struggling with his mental health. He has also suffered prior head injuries, including concussions, which may have impacted his overall well-being.

He has now spent over three years in pretrial detention without resolution.

During this time, there have been repeated delays, ongoing competency proceedings, and inconsistent access to appropriate mental health care. These ongoing issues raise serious concerns about due process and the impact prolonged detention is having on his condition.

Every person deserves a fair and timely process. Elliot deserves the opportunity to meaningfully participate in his own defense.

I am simply asking for accountability, proper care, and the protection of his constitutional rights.
