A week ago we delivered the petition in person to Bristol City Council, and made public statements to their committee. Not only were we able to make sure voices from our community were heard, we were able to talk directly to the relevant people at the council, and meet new allies in the public gallery.
Thank you to everyone that signed and shared, and those that submitted written questions and comments to the Public Health & Communities Policy Committee.
It all had an impact - with the Committee adding three new amendments to their deal with Wessex Water around ensuring time scales were set to, and requiring Wessex engage in works to restore the areas damaged by their construction as well as paying money in mitigation.

A couple of people have asked about the donations given for this to petition. To be clear all of these went direct to Change, not to ourselves. Partly to keep change running, and partly to get them to show the petition to more potentially interested people.
If you feel you were misled and expected the money to go directly to our campaign please complain direct to Change dot org support, as they can in some situations give refunds. We can't do anything about it ourselves. For those who did donate to help spread our petition further and keep the lights on at change dot org, thank you very much, we were happilly surprised to see so much generosity.
