Write to the council direct !

We are submitting our petition to Bristol City Council's Public Health and Policies Committee who are meeting this week.

If you're quick you can also submit your own question (deadline Monday 5pm) or statement (deadline Wednesday 12noon), and tell them why the skate park is important to you.

Details of how to do so are below, originally shared by the local cllr for St George West, Rob Bryher.

Solidarity,

Ciaràn for Skate George

The £800,000 funding provided by Wessex Water/YTL to Bristol City Council as (partial) compensation and mitigation for their proposed storm overflow works under St George Park wheel park is proposed to be accepted by the council at the next meeting of the Public Health & Communities policy committee on Friday 11th September, beginning at 9.30am. You can view the specifics on the link provided.

As a reminder, this £800,000 will be split between three parks, so St George Park will receive between £250,000 and £300,000. This funding is likely to be used wholly to complete Phase 2 of the play park works.

I am still waiting on confirmation of when the swing set (already funded through Area Committee CIL) will be installed in the play park.

If you would like to ask questions or make a statement at the council meeting on Friday 11th September (9.30am), here's how to do that and the submission deadlines.
