Thank you so much to everyone who has signed and supported this petition. Your voices and compassion truly matter, and we’re grateful for the momentum you’ve helped create around improving safety at the Worcester Courthouse atrium.

As we shared in the petition, this effort comes from a place of deep personal loss and more than a decade of advocacy in suicide prevention. We believe strongly that protecting vulnerable individuals is a responsibility shared by all of us, and your support shows that this community feels the same.

We also want to share an important update.

We (Kerri Sullivan and Kim O’Brien) have recently partnered with the Central Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention to continue and strengthen this work. The coalition brings together mental health professionals, community members, survivors, and advocates, all committed to education, collaboration, and prevention. Joining forces with them allows us to expand our efforts beyond the petition and work toward long-term, proactive solutions both at the courthouse and in the wider community.

Many people have asked how they can help further and the truth is, we can still use your help! If you’d like to stay involved, you can email the coalition at:

centralmassspc@gmail.com

Let them know you signed the petition and would like to be added to their contact list. You will learn about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, or advocacy efforts that will help us advance our efforts in Worcester and beyond.

Thank you again for supporting this cause and for standing with us. Together, we’re taking meaningful steps toward creating a safer, more supportive environment for everyone.

With appreciation,

Kim O’Brien & Kerri Sullivan
