As homeowners and residents of Sosúa Ocean Village (SOV), we are coming together to formally request a transparent, community-wide conversation regarding the ongoing drainage and flooding issues affecting multiple areas of our community, including Campo del Mar 4 and Las Flores.

Over time—and most recently following a single, short-duration rainfall event—we have experienced flooding and standing water that was more severe than what many of us have seen in years, even during periods of heavier rainfall. These conditions have resulted in property damage, access challenges, safety concerns, and growing anxiety about the long-term impact on our homes and investments.

This is not an isolated issue, nor is it something individual homeowners can solve independently. Recurrent flooding, ineffective drainage, and prolonged standing water affect:
