It is clear that we as inhabitants of MO must demand all our local/state government agencies to provide protections for those brave enough to act as whistleblowers, ensuring they are rewarded for their integrity, rather than facing retaliation. Every year, whistleblowers risk their livelihoods and reputations to expose (THOSE OF NO VALUE) wrongdoing that ranges from corruption, mismanagement, fraud, abuse of power, to wasting taxpayer dollars. Although we don't have exact data, it is estimated that billions of dollars are recovered each year due to the actions of whistleblowers globally (source: National Whistleblower Center). Yet, their protections and rewards vary wildly across different sections of government, and in some cases there are insufficient supports in place. By demanding comprehensive whistleblower incentives across all local/state government agencies, we can foster an environment of TRANSPARENCY, INTEGRITY, and ACCOUNTABILITY, dissuading corrupt mobster like practices from taking root.
