As the manager of Lakewood Apartments located along John Muir Drive in , San Francisco, I am compelled to address a pressing issue affecting hundreds of concerned residents in our community. The continuous presence of RVs parked along this street has created a series of challenges that are impacting the safety and well being of both drivers and pedestrians, as well as the quality of life for all residents in the area.

The presence of these RVs has significantly impaired visibility for drivers and pedestrians, making it increasingly dangerous to cross the street or navigate the area safely. This is particularly alarming for individuals who rely on clear traffic conditions to ensure their safety. Furthermore, individuals occupying these RVs have been observed littering and improperly disposing of waste on the property and the street, contributing to unsanitary conditions that affect the entire neighborhood.

There have even been alarming incidents of fires starting from individuals grilling, necessitating intervention by the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD). These incidents pose a direct threat to the safety of the residents.  Additionally, the persistent presence of these RVs has created a negative perception of the neighborhood, deterring potential residents from moving into our community as well as have had residents choose to move out.

It is crucial for the City of San Francisco to actively enforce existing parking regulations to address these issues. By doing so, we can restore safety, sanitation, and positive community perception to our neighborhood. We urge city officials to take this matter seriously and to take immediate action to uphold the law and protect our community.
