Enforce CAE Airport rules for Uber drivers

Enforce CAE Airport rules for Uber drivers
The Issue
I am a local driver at CAE Airport and have experienced first-hand the frustration and unfairness caused by Uber's non-compliance with the airport's queuing system. As per the regulations, drivers are required to adhere to the first-in, first-out system when picking up passengers, ensuring a fair distribution of rides among all drivers. However, Uber is not abiding by this system and is manipulating trip assignments.
Additionally, Sami's Law, which mandates that rideshare drivers display decals and tag numbers on their windshields for safety and identification purposes, is being blatantly ignored. This is not just happening at the airport but also throughout the state. As a result, there have been instances of illegal pick-ups, putting both drivers and riders at risk.
The CAE Airport queuing system is designed to provide clarity and fairness, offering drivers who wait in the staging area an equal opportunity to receive ride requests. However, Uber is disregarding this by sending trips to drivers who are not waiting in the designated area, thus undermining the system's integrity. Such actions not only violate regulations but also create confusion and financial instability for many dedicated drivers.
By signing this petition, you are standing up for the rights and safety of rideshare drivers and passengers in South Carolina. We demand that Uber immediately comply with the first-in, first-out regulation at CAE Airport and respect Sami's Law. Let's take action to ensure a fair and secure environment for everyone. Please sign and support this cause to urge Uber to follow the law and uphold driver rights.
